THE 3 RULES OF THE SCHOOL

SELF-CONTROL: IS CONTROLLING MY BEHAVIOR TO FIT THE SITUATION.
SELF-DISCIPLINE: DOING THE THINGS I KNOW I SHOULD DO WITHOUT BEING ASKED.
RESPECT: TREATING OTHERS THE WAY I WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED.

Students are continually rewarded for demonstrating Good Self-Control, Self-Discipline and Respect in class. They are also reminded of the importance and value of having GOOD SELF-CONTROL, SELF-DISCIPLINE and RESPECT in all areas of their life. Instructors spend time teaching specific ways for students to express Self-Control, Self-Discipline and Respect in the dojo, at home and in school. For example, we role play ways to channel frustration and anger into something more constructive and positive. In addition, students are required to fill out a COLORS OF CHARACTER FORM where they write down specific examples of following these three rules, as a part of the requirement to test for their next belt.
